Offical Rules
1. How to Enter the Contest:
(a) Phase I of the Chevy Greens Chicago (Gas-Friendly to Gas-Free) contest will begin on 6/16/08 at 3:00PM and will end on 6/29/08 at 11:59PM. Phase II of the Chevy Greens Chicago contest will begin on 7/1/08 at 4:00PM and will end on 7/13/08 at 11:59PM. Contest is sponsored by Chevrolet.
(b) To enter, during the Game Period log onto www.chevygreenschicago.com, and follow directions to submit entry and participate in the instant win game. If you are a winner, you will be notified instantly of the prize won.
(c) Limit of one entry per day per person or household.
(d) Game sponsors are not responsible for late, lost, stolen, misdirected, misaddressed, incomplete or illegible entries. Sponsor is not responsible for technical or computer failures, errors or data loss of any kind, lost or unavailable Internet connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or deleted computer or network transmissions, inability to access any Web site or on-line service, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost, illegible or misdirected entries. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. If the judges determine, in their sole discretion, that there is any suspected or actual electronic tampering with the Game or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Game, the judges reserve the right to void the entries at issue and/or terminate the Game and conduct a random drawing to award the prize among all eligible entries received as of the termination date. If the Game is terminated due to tampering or technical difficulties prior to its expiration date, notice will be posted at www.chevygreenschicago.com If, for any reason, the Game is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Game, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Game. Game reserves the right to disqualify any entrant that tampers with the operation of the Game or website or violates the Official Rules of the Game.
By use of this website and by entering the Game, you agree to the Web Site Terms of Use Agreement and to the use of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.
(e) Broadcasts are subject to preemptions and scheduling changes.
If such changes occur they will be posted on cbs2chicago.com.
(f) Entry deemed made by holder of e-mail account.
(g) Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries.
2. Eligibility Restrictions:
(a) Game is open to legal residents of Illinois and Indiana who are age 21 or older with a valid driver’s license. Employees of Chevrolet, General Motors, its affiliates, subsidiaries, dealerships and advertising and promotion agencies, CBS Corporation, WBBM-TV, other television and radio stations in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana area, Core 12, SVM, LP and the respective affiliates and subsidiaries of the foregoing entities and the immediate families (spouses and parents, children and siblings and their spouses) and members of the household of such individuals are not eligible. Void where prohibited.
(b) Only one winner per household is permitted in any contest. Viewers are eligible to win a prize valued at $600.00 or more only once every six months.
(c)All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. An automated tool is built into the instant win game to prevent automated entries. By entering, entrants agree to abide by these rules, and warrant and represent that their entry is their original work.
(d) Contestants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The Station will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements, and the Station will also delete any entry received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
3. Prizes:
(a) 466 prizes: Phase I (Gas-Friendly to Gas-Free) (290) $5 gas cards, (100) $10 gas cards, (50) $25 gas cards, (25) $50 gas cards. One grand prize winner will win a $1500 gas card. 4 prizes: Phase II prizes: (4) VIP experiences to include (1) night hotel accommodations on July 20th, 2008 with VIP access to CBS 2 Early Show Concert on July 21, 2008. Approximate retail value for grand prize VIP experience is $1000. All gas cards are subject to terms of use and restrictions of issuer. Only one prize per household or email address. CBS 2 Early Show Concert date subject to change.
Prize does not include items not specified, such as travel insurance, hotel room service, parking fees, laundry service, food, alcoholic beverages, merchandise, souvenirs, etc.
(b) Phase I (Gas-Friendly to Gas-Free): Prizes can be won from 6/16/08 at 12:00AM through 6/29/08 at 11:59PM.
Phase II: Prizes can be won from 6/30/08 at 9:00AM through 7/13/08 at 11:59PM.
(c) Prizes or prize certificates will automatically be mailed to the address provided during registration for the instant win game on www.ChevyGreensChicago.com. The prize will be forfeited by the winner if the Eligibility & Release Form is not received within forty-eight (48) hours of notification. The winner assumes the risk of its arrival. WBBM-TV is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
(d) Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash.
Station reserves the right to substitute prize of comparable value.
4. Selection of Winners:
(a) Decisions of contest sponsors with respect to the contest are final.
(b) Winners will automatically be selected by time slots randomly chosen by computer throughout the Game Period. Prizes to be awarded will be randomly allotted among winning time slots. Odds of winning depend on the time that the entrant plays the game each day. Winners will be notified instantly online and prizes will be automatically mailed to the address they provided within forty-five (45) days.
Phase I (Gas-Friendly to Gas-Free) Grand prize winner will be selected from all eligible entries after contest entry period ending on 6/29/08. Sponsor reserves right to verify prize award and compliance of winner with Official Rules, including requiring the signing and return within a specified time of a Declaration of Eligibility and Liability and Publicity Release. Failure of any entrant to timely sign and return documents that may be required by Sponsor or to timely provide address for prize delivery or return of any prize will result in forfeiture of prize and
where feasible an alternate winner will be selected.
5. Conditions:
(a) Payment of all federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner and winners may receive an IRS Form 1099 or equivalent from Station.
(b) By participating, entrants agree (a) to the Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, Administrator and judges which shall be final in all respects; (b) to hold harmless and release Chevrolet, General Motors, CBS Corporation, WBBM-TV, Core 12, SVM, LP and their parents, affiliates and subsidiaries and agents and their respective directors, officers and employees from any claims, losses, damages, injuries or liability whatsoever arising directly or indirectly out of their participation in this contest and the acceptance and use of a prize; (c) acknowledge that the foregoing entities have neither made nor or in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to a prize; and (d) if a winner, to the use of their name, voice, picture and persona for advertising, promotion and publicity purposes in any and all media now known or hereafter invented without further permission or additional compensation and upon request , to provide consent to such use in writing. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to revise, cancel, or terminate this game or any part of it at any time, in the event technical or other circumstances, regardless of their cause, corrupt its conduct or operation; and in such event to select winners in a random drawing or drawings from among eligible entries legitimately received prior to any occurrence causing the cancellation or termination. Notice of any cancellation will be posted at www.chevygreenschicago.com. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded. Game shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Illinois and any litigation concerning the contest shall be held only in a federal or state court situated in Cook County, Illinois. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void.
6. Game sponsors reserve the right to make changes in the rules of the contest
which will become effective upon announcement.
7. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of the prize.
8. No purchase necessary. The contest is void where prohibited by law.
9. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification.
